About The Artist
Model cars have always been an interest of mine. Like many, I started when I was a young boy when I'd get a kit for my birthday or Christmas. My older brother, Russ was the one who really encouraged me to keep building. He had me enter a model contest at a local hobby shop. I won, and the rest is history- I became hooked on the hobby.
Over the years, I have won my share of awards at local shows throughout New England. I have written a few magazine articles for Kalmbach Publishing on how to paint. And, I have had some of my cars shown in Scale Auto Enthusiast and Fine Scale Modeler. For over thirty years, I have done work for others, from complete builds to replica builds of people's real cars to custom paint work to supplying my own decals designed for nostalgic drag racing models. This is a great hobby and I'm happy that you stopped by to visit my website.
My Other Hobby...

As a total car nut, my "Other Hobby" is Drag Racing. Beginning in High School with a boat load of different cars, I've owned Mustangs, Chevelles, Novas, and a Firebird. My favorite has always been the Mustangs. In 2004, I picked up a 1965 Falcon and went to work on it.This was the first car I'd been able to do since being married.... you know how that goes (family first). In any case, I was happy to be back into it. The Falcon proved out to be a pretty stout bracket car and I had a great time racing the car in Street Eliminator division at New England Dragway in Epping New Hampshire. In 2007, I blew the transmission. I wanted to go faster, but did not want to cut up the car in order to tub it...etc. It was a really nice car. So, I decided to try something different.
In late 2007, I sold the Falcon to a very nice man from Illinois and the hunt was on for the next project.

In searching through eBay, I found several interesting choices to pick from. One of which was a 1994 Mustang Drag car that was campaigned in the "Renegade" division of NMRA, owned by Bruno Styrczula. This was an extrordinary car to start with. I promptly bought it as a roller (no engine/trans). The work has begun on a Big block Ford to power the car. Initial estimates are 765 HP. I added the flames myself out of being borde one weekend. My plan was to run the car in the Modified Eliminator diviision at New England Dragway in the 2008 season. However, I did not finish the Big Block in time, so i stuck the 302 Small Block in that I had left over from the Falcon. I managed to make some points appearances in MOD at NED. While the car was on the slow end of the time brackets, I managed to go some rounds against some extremely talented New England Dragway competitiors. As for special appearances:
* Runner up; 2008 Fun Ford Weekend. Quick Ford Division
* 2nd Round; IHRA Nationals , MOD (Loss by .0045 seconds to Dave Schofield's beautiful 1967 Chevelle)
Hopefully, the car will be completed with the Big Block for a full 2009 Season. I am looking for sponsors to assist me.
